About John

John is a lifelong resident of Emporia. He graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Industrial Technology in December of 1985. John has worked in the family business, Muckenthaler Incorporated, a food service equipment dealership with locations in Emporia and Topeka, since graduation from college until the business was closed in 2020. John is married to Vickie and the have two children, Jessica and Cody, and now are blessed with four grandchildren.

John is familiar with commercial construction projects, commercial kitchens and building codes. His hobbies include building and restoring furniture, woodworking and restoring vintage vehicles. John is an active member of Sacred Heart church and enjoys spending time with his family at Lake Kahola.

John is looking forward to a new career in real estate and helping clients find their forever home!
